In Unréal, local writers from diverse backgrounds and identities share their most fantastical stories and speculative dreams of our shared city. Montréal becomes a character, a canvas, a portal—where languages collide, histories echo, and new futures are imagined.

This anthology embodies everything we believe in at Flame Arrow: stories of resilience, resistance, and rebirth—told in both English and French. Through this project, we aim to spotlight voices that challenge borders, reimagine the familiar, and build bridges across communities.

Curated by a collective of talented editors and authors from the local literary scene, Unréal will launch as part of our 2026 catalogue.
