A MAGAZINE DEDICATED TO SPECULATIVE FICTION

Brins d’éternité is a French-language magazine dedicated to speculative fiction—science fiction, fantasy, and the fantastic. Its mission is to provide a publishing platform for Canadian authors and illustrators (while remaining open to all francophone artists), whether they are veterans or newcomers.

The magazine is now published by Flame Arrow Publishing and distributed by SODEP, and starting with Issue 65, also by Dimedia, across Canada.

If you are an author, you can learn more about the submission process by referring to our Submission Guidelines.

If you are a reader, you can purchase issues of the magazine directly from our website. Our annual subscriptions are also back! Simply choose an issue of Brins, then select the subscription format of your choice (print / digital / both), for either 1 year or 2 years.

La diversité de l'imaginaire

D'une nouvelle à l'autre, on découvre autant de différents univers que de style, de voix et de créativité. La grande qualité du document lui-même n'est surpassé que par celle du contenu. Soulignons aussi qu'il s'agît d'un tremplin extraordinaire pour de nouveaux auteurs. Juste pour ce point, Brins d'Éternité se doit d'être connue et acclamée.

Une belle découverte

Une nouvelle très intéressante d'Alexia Seda, qui m'a donné envie de découvrir plus avant son univers, malgré les nombreuses notes de bas de page qui m'ont régulièrement sortie de l'histoire pour me faire expliquer le contexte.
Une très belle nouvelle également de Guillaume Voisine, auteur toujours délicat et nuancé. Une histoire à la fois tragique et touchante, le sacrifice "anodin", quotidien et invisible d'une femme et d'une mère.
J'ai particulièrement apprécié la chronique de Madi Haab, qui évoque des sujets importants sur la responsabilité des auteurices et la représentation de communautés diverses, souvent malmenées dans les oeuvres de fiction.
