Loui Beaulieu
Loui Beaulieu is a poet, playwright, and storyteller who refuses to separate human life from the wild. Through words that honor spirit, land, and the old ways, his work celebrates what ties us together—our communities, our ancestors, and the earth beneath our feet. His debut novel Tonnerre-des-bois follows a young shaman coming into his power in a world where memory runs deeper than time and nature speaks louder than words.
Loui Beaulieu writes human nature as part of something bigger and wilder—the kind that puts you in your place and shatters the illusion of time. Writing anchors him in the now, in making and sharing, and he thrives on the spoken word, bringing his work to audiences through slam and theatre. His poetry appears in France through Éditions Maïa, and he's penned and staged several plays. His first novel, Tonnerre-des-bois, follows a young shaman stepping into his calling and celebrates the sacred ties binding people to their community and the earth itself.
