Flame Arrow Publishing is a bilingual Canadian press dedicated to speculative fiction that imagines better worlds.

We publish hopepunk, climate fiction, and stories that refuse to look away. Fiction that confronts what's broken, celebrates what endures, and lights the way forward. Books that resist despair and spark hope.

Whether in English or French, our mission stays the same: publish bold, beautiful, emotionally powerful stories that remind readers of the strength and creativity within us all.

Our Mission

At Flame Arrow, our work goes beyond books. It's about building a community of readers, writers, and dreamers who know that imagination itself is an act of resistance.

Our goal is simple: create a home for authors and readers who want fiction that feels alive, meaningful, and hopeful. Stories that stay with you long after the last page.

Why Hopepunk? Why Climate Fiction?

Because despair is easy. Hope takes courage.

Hopepunk isn't about pretending everything's fine. It's about choosing to fight for better even when the odds are stacked against you. It's about community over isolation, resistance over surrender, and the belief that small acts of kindness and defiance matter.

Climate fiction at Flame Arrow doesn't wallow in apocalypse. We publish stories that ask: What comes after collapse? How do we survive? What do we owe each other when everything changes?

We're drawn to:

We publish novels, anthologies, and a quarterly magazine that explore how people endure, adapt, and rise again.

Flame Arrow Publishing was founded in December 2023 by Dave Dufour (David M. Snow), a speculative fiction writer, educator, and believer in the power of stories to change the world.

Based between Vancouver and Levis, Quebec, we're a small but mighty team of editors, designers, translators, and collaborators who share a vision: publish books that imagine futures worth fighting for.

Our team includes:
